Why do you need a new guitar?
My current guitar cuts completely out and back in while using it live during service. The playability of my current guitar isn't very friendly. The intonation is off and rarely stays in tune. But that is what I get for buying a cheap guitar. My current guitar constantly gives me problems. I need a new, guitar before my current guitar reaches it's final breath. I'm tired of dealing with it.
Why can't you buy it yourself?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to leave 100% of this purchase up to family, friends, and other generous people. I'm going to put as much as I can into this. The thing is, I'm currently saving for a vehicle and that is putting a halt on me saving for a guitar.
How much does a guitar like this cost?
Roughly $3,000.
$3,000!!!!!!!!!?????????!!!?!??!?
Yeah, well you certainly get what you pay for. If I buy a low end guitar it will be factory made, and it will encounter problems and have a shorter life span. Believe it or not, I will be grateful if you donate ten cents.
Why don't you use $3,000 on something productive?
While it may seem spending $3,000 on a guitar and not something else is a little absurd (to some), it will be used productively. I am a praise and worship leader at my church, and the guitar will be played a minimum of 2 days a week.
